American Goats response to President Trump’s 10% Tariff on imported meat

While American Goats would have liked to have seen more, this is a start.  This is FAR short of what we asked for.

We urge all American farmers to continue fighting, contact your Senators and Representatives and let them know that while we appreciate this, we need a more aggressive approach to allow our farmers to fill the supply.  We need help to keep American farmers supporting our great country. Why are we allowing America to become dependent on other countries? We have to get America dependent on America again.

We need to make sure we have our production capabilities at a point where we can fill the void in supply. 

We have to make the American public aware of this exceptional nutrition source and build more demand!

Get the word out about goat meat - we talk to each other about it, but not the general public.

Talk about the nutritional value of goat meat and the benefits (According to the USDA, it is nutritionally better than chicken!) 

Talk about the fantastic goat tacos you have had.

Talk about the goat steaks that you make.

If you have particular recipes that you love, share them!

As long as we are just talking about this amongst ourselves, we are not growing the demand for goat meat. Without growth, we will not survive!

Of the small group of Americans who are aware of goat meat, most believe it is for “foreign” foods like Curries or cooking in the ground. Let everyone know how good your goat burgers are!
